Maybelle is doing her best to stay positive after she gets rejected from her dream college, Irvine. Maybelle lives her summer to the fullest until her boyfriend Sky and her break up; ironically, her soon to be ex-boyfriend is going to Irvine.
Additionally, all her closest friends leave for college, and she ends up in the last place she expected. Community College. To make up for her failure, she attempts to open a bookstore cafe that things don't go exactly as planned; it feels like the world is playing a joke on her.
Even when the walls seem like they are crumbling, Maybelle finds herself at a charming ice rink, and the climbing gym brings her the greatest adventures and a newfound crush that she morally cannot like-like.
