Kai, Genesis, Taylin, Edmund, Theo, Laila, and Zoee are stuck with each other. For the most part that is, while they are stuck in the same head they let their personalities shine through. Their body may have originally belonged to Zoee but Kai takes care of it the most. While navigating work and post college life, this system is trying it's best to cope. Genesis is the protector of the system and a grumpy exterior too most, taking care of everyone is his job. Edmund, the little at the ripe age of ten is lively and sweet but don't forget he's mischievous. Taylin, is an extrovert that just wants to hang out with people. She is also having to handle the fact that she is a fictive from a TV show. Laila, is the girl that wants to hang out with everyone but is quite introverted when it comes down to it. Theo is the one that popped up in late high school and just wants someone that understands him for who he is and not the body he's in.

Audrey Kepler wants to breathe, to run, to live. It should be a given, after all, a gift everyone receives at birth. The day she gets on the bus is the day she finally admits to herself that being alive and living are two separate things. And Audrey wants to live. When she meets Eli Davis, a mysterious, quiet, and timid boy, she assumes that they are opposites. But, they are more similar than she could have ever imagined. Eli wants to live, he thinks. He at least wants to taste what it's like before he decides. She was the sun; warm, bright, radiant, and full of the purest light. He was the stars; distant and scarce, yet fascinating and effervescent if you took the time to look closely enough. They seem so different at first glance, the sun and the stars, but they are just alike.
