Long ago, a powerful race of beings intermixed with humans to create three new species. That original race eventually died off, and their power disappeared with them. And yet, the world is awakening again, that old power stirring as it finds itself suddenly born again.
Faye Castellan has lead a relatively uneventful life for nearly twenty years. Until, one day, everything changes. Whisked away from life as she has known it, she is plunged into a new existence that she never imagined.
She soon finds herself attempting to navigate a world filled with creatures borne of dreams and nightmares as she struggles to determine which category she falls into. All the while, she must simultaneously learn how to wield an ancient magic that few before her have ever encountered.
