Meet Meghan Daughtery. She's a peppy 13 year old who loves cheerleading and is the leader of the popular girls in school. However, after newly making friends with last years social outcast (and Meghan's last years frenemy), Annie, she has a case of jealously. Annie has the best parents, cutest older brothers, and adorable baby sisters. In Meghan's mind, Annie has the best life. After cheerleading tryouts become a disaster (and Meghan loses her spot as 2 year champion captain) and Meghan's mom flees to Europe (meeting her new boyfriend), Meghan decides to run away. Along the way she meets an unexpected friend and tries her hardest to keep a secret that holds her new friends fate. Meghan learns how important friendship is. She knows that a friend is to love. "Get in" comes out his voice, and I must've stood there agape for a few moments because next comes his rhetorical question. "Are you getting in or continuing walking in the rain?" Eyebrows raised expectantly.
