THE KAILANI QUEEN HAS MADE HER MARK
A few years after the set execution placed for Prince Idris Keahi of Whitehaven, and General Raelle of the rebellion known as the Unmarked Outsiders (Also referred to as the "Guard", for safe keeping), the two have spent a good year hiding from the sights of the delusional and obsessed boy of a king, Archer Keahi, Idris Keahi's younger half-brother.
That all comes to a supposed end, however, the moment Raelle's lover is seized by traitors of the rebel group, newbloods known as Silencers. A few days thereafter, Raelle must return with her lover in hand, or all will fall.

"I got a message earlier, Kai," I murmur into Hyeon's neck, voice quiet, my ability cloaking us both from the cameras. She would've powered the cameras off with her lightning, but that would have given her identity away. "Oh, you did? Who's it from?" Her voice is equally as quiet, a gentle whisper against my forehead. "Idris," I hum in response, still quiet. She pulls away from me slightly, leaving me feeling just a little cold. She doesn't like when you mention her betrothed, you fool.
I squeak, reaching out for her. My fingers only just graze her neck, and I note the way her eyes flash with an emotion I can't exactly pinpoint. "Kai... I'm sorry," I mumble, and watch as she turns to me again. My cheeks flush slightly, as they always do with her so close, skin so ... bare, except for the tangled sheets. "It's quite alright, my love," Her voice is soft, gentle. A comfort I'm used to. My mind wanders again as she pulls me close, allowing me to rest my head on her chest.

SLOW UPDATES
I smiled at him but tears were starting to blur my vision together. "I hate you."
His smile faltered and he looked taken back, "Not like that, Drake. I hate you because you make me cry. You're supposed to beat up the guys who make me cry, not be one of them."
"But they are happy tears, right?" he clarified. I smiled and nodded my head, before gripping his shirt, pulling his body against mine.
"I'll never make you cry because you're sad, understood? I'm never leaving you."
I didn't respond this time, I just sat in his lap, holding his torso and he played with my hair. "I don't know if I can let you in yet Drake," I told him truthfully, the one thing I had been dreading telling him.
"I know. But I'll never hurt you like the others have. I-"he cut himself off and took a deep breath.
"Riley?" he moved me away from his shirt. I looked at him in the eyes and say an emotion. One I hadn't seen in a long time and one I haven't seen in his eyes before. "Can I kiss you?"

Drake was the player of the school. Everyone knew his name. Riley was the nerd of the school. No one knew her name.
Complete opposites but for some reason, opposites seemed to attract.
Riley knew that Drake had a new girl every week, but she felt like she could change him.
And maybe she could. Maybe she'd be different.
