153 days..that's how long it had been since the outbreak 145 days since the military told the world everything was under control. It started off as a parasite or maybe a virus dixie wasn't sure no one was.one thing she did know was that people were rising from the dead hours after death. She called them walkers most people might call them zombies but dixie always found that word to be cheesy.she guessed it didn't really matter what she called them as long as she didn't get scratched or bit and as long as she always shot them in the head.

The Wildfire Virus. That's the illness the eggheads have called dubbed that has spread alarmingly fast all over the world. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit. Yesterday, the world was normal with its own conflicts. The next, millions get sick, hospitals are overwhelmed, and any sort of space was converted into a makeshift hospital to handle all the sick. On day 2 the sick died and awoke attacking the living. I tried to get out of the city, but the military closed off every major access point and now I'm trapped within, along with millions of undead. I must get out of the city with any means necessary. Winner of 28 awards including: Unknown Story, Best Cover, Random, Voted King of Action, and Voters Choice
