when raised in a burning house, it seems as though the whole world is on fire. well, the house was molten lava and the whole world is ablaze.

nari has long despised the ground others stood on. she has long found her sparks to become flames at the smallest misstep, and long found her actions quickly reprimanded. she has been rung dry of all compassion, and was raised by a tight leash and a quick whip. a home of fire is only warm with the family that has a heart, and nor her mother or father have been blessed with such. when nari slips, it is hastily decided that she will be defiant no longer. she escapes banishment by fleeing first, and a twisted and unwelcome fate throws all which nari tries to toss away back in her face with a vigorous sting.

it's not seldom that the young girl experienced misfortune, but it's as though she's cursed as she stumbles upon an old friend with an impossible task: capturing the avatar. yet the powerful bender is as slippery as butter, and nari and zuko are not the only ones after them.
