I've been watching Merlin again and I've decided to write some one shots, some might have two parts.
Merlin's Son: A Tale old as Time • Merthur
Freya lives the attack, only just. But when she dies giving birth, Merlin's Son is born just before the Tears of Uther Pendragon, what will Merlin do to protect his child? What will Arthur do, when he finds out? Based of the series, but not completely. Featuring Merthur, Arthur 'not being a stupid prat', Good Morgana, Gwen and Lancelot and a whole lot of cuteness. Here's a snippet from one of the chapters: "I do not want your gold! I want to live without being hunted, without fear. I want magic to be alive again!" He said and Arthur grinned. He didn't even have to think about it. Anything for you, Merls. When Merlin entered his chambers, Arthur was already awake, and ordered Merlin to prepare two horses for a hunting trip. "Is it too much to hope that you'll be taking Leon or Lancelot," Merlin had asked, his voice laced with fake sweetness. "Stop being lazy, Merlin. It is an honor to be invited on a hunting trip with the king," Arthur replied haughtily. "An invitation implies there being a choice, sire." Merlin gets kidnapped by an unknown person and when he returns, he's different. Gaius finds out what causes it. The Fomorroh. Arthur and Merlin go on a quest to kill the mother beast while it's tranquilized, so they can protect Camelot from Morgause and Cenred. Gwen and Morgana are also a big part of the story and I write in their perspective too. (I have put it on AO3 as well, I am currently editing out spelling/grammatical errors there, because it's easier than on this platform, plus, I love going back and forth to compare, it shows me my growth as an author)Complete

What happens when he goes on a two day trip to gather some rather herbs for Gaius and comes back without the ring? Pls do read this! It starts out bad but I get better at writing as time passes! This is a merthur one shot book it is going to be almost all fluff maybe one or two angst. I will not write smut.
