Danny, a shy boy who has been home schooled all his life, finally decides to enter his 11th year of high school. He's never really had friends, scared of being judge for not being able to hear or communicate normally, but has decided he doesn't want to be alone forever.
Alex is a junior who doesn't have many friends because he doesn't get along with people very well. He only has two best friends named Andy and Scott. Other than them he hates everyone else. He then meets Danny who confuses him, but at the same time makes him happy.
