After the Killing game ended, Shuichi Saihara and the two other survivors; Maki Harukawa and Himiko Yumeno, return to the real world where they face a new challenge, the challenge of adapting back into their past life.

Surely this should be easy, right?

Well with their in-game personalities still intact and the remembrance of their time in the infamous Danganronpa killing game, their new perspectives clash with their past ones leaving them and the other survivors in confusion which makes them struggle to find their true identity. Not to mention the lack of trust between them all, the tension between the blackeneds and demise grows even thicker as they all spend time with each other, and to make matters worse, their past memories of their past life before Danganronpa starts coming back to them revealing new truths that adds on to the tension between them all.

And one of those truths...

...involve Kaede and Shuichi.
