Chris was your typical twenty-one year old boy. He spent his days studying at a University in California, making average grades. His nights saw him partying with his friends, tossing back drinks one at a time, and pretending like he didn't have a care in the world. His campus was a couple of miles from the glimmering beaches, and for him, that was way too close. For a long time now, Chris has held a deeply rooted fear for the water, and the sloshing waves that threatened to swallow up his very existence. So one can Imagine his hesitancy when his friends practically blackmail him into a week-long sailing venture.
If the initial sea sickness wasn't enough, he keeps having strange dreams of a man with magenta eyes, beckoning him closer to the edge of the boat. At first, he's hesitant to go anywhere near where the structure met the lapping waves, but it's only a dream...right?
With each passing night, he grows braver and braver -- venturing closer and closer to the end. As the difference between reality, and supposed dreams becomes distorted, Chris begins to wonder if this figment of his imagination is as harmless as he previously thought. Along the way though, he may just learn that the water is not as terrifying as he wanted to believe.
Sometimes, it pays to just lean back and Float for a while, and allow your worries to be swept away with the current.
