**An Academy fan fiction based on C.L. Stone's Ghost Bird and Scarab Beetle series.
Joey has her life figured out. Well, at least she thinks she does. She's doing what she's passionate about and able to help out the people that she loves without feeling like she's risking losing herself. The precious balance that she's built up comes tumbling down when the Academy has to start placing patients on the hospital floor she's working on and she's assigned, not just the patient pouting in the bed, but all thirteen of his brothers, as well.

Sang has always been a little bit different. She was made fun of for being a math-whiz in school up until she was kidnapped. Growing up in the crime world from a young age, she tried to do what she was told and keep her head down...but...that was easier said than done. Trouble seems to follow her like it's her middle name. Eventually things come to a head that puts her in the Academy's sights, but the struggles only keep piling up as she is shuffled around, wondering when or even if she will ever find somewhere she feels like is home. Sang's storybook happy ending is just within her grasp.
