It was simple. 

She closed her eyes and felt the sound pulsate throughout her body. Every beat made her blood jump and maybe it was the drugs she had taken before. She was faint with the world and herself at the moment. Quite caught up on the bed of her drug dealer who happened to be throwing a party that would begin the summer. Her junior year of high school just ended with her barely passing her classes. The love of her short life was gone sleeping in the beds of those who knew nothing about him. Her parents were ghosts, and home never seemed lonelier.

She was trapped in a red room with the door locked because the OxyContin she took had her seeing heaven. She was the life of the party although and everyone expected her to go out and show them a good time.

She sluggishly got off the bed, leaving crinkles of her body behind on the comforter. She held herself with the help of the wall as walking to the door was more difficult than she realized. She giggles a little bit before opening the door and screaming

"Let's fucking go!"

And ultimately she was the hurricane in everyone's lives.All Rights Reserved

The "Please..." I hear her whimper and I go into full panic mode. "Calm down, okay? Deep breaths. Don't hang up. I'll be with you soon. Where are you?" I rush as I grab the car key sitting on the glass table. I run into the garage with my dad behind me. "What do you need?" Dad asks "A room. A big one." He runs back inside as I hear her voice again. "Basement...blood...Elle..." I hear sounds of movement in the background and connect the dots. Elle's bleeding, or something... "Deep breaths baby, deep breaths. It's okay, you're okay" I murmur reassuring words to her, thankful that there's no traffic. Several thoughts run through my mind as I drove to her house. The last time we spoke, she could barely stand me, but now she's calling me. I feel kinda used, but now's not the time to think about that. I reach her house in a matter of minutes and shove the door open. The house is quiet, save for my heavy breathing and footsteps. I reach the basement and take in the sight in front of me. "Stop, please just fucking leave us alone!!" Harley called out at the top of her lungs. It had been a quiet night until they left the cabin in search of help. They couldn't run, they couldn't escape. Harley was shoved to the ground, hard. He slammed his fist down on her chest with so much force the air in her lungs escaped. Harley gasped for air. So it worked out when her father's company had an opening in Florida. As she starts almost a quarter of the year in, Harley struggles to find her footing and live like a normal teenager.
