Sunset the falcon/eagle, who has a Harpy Eagle as her father and a Peregrine Falcon as her mother, has wanted nothing more than to make them happy. But no matter how much she pleads, no matter how much she studies for school, they don't like her.
Falcon, Sunset's brother, meanwhile gets all the attention and the fact that his parents actually like him. But he's jealous of Sunset, who gets to do whatever she wants, while he has to do what his parents want him to do, to keep their attention on him.
Meanwhile, the family are also fugitives, as rules state that there are no birds who are allowed to mate with other kinds.
Coldness is stirring between the siblings. Do they have the power to make everything right again?
Or will they never become good, and both end up dead?
