Jackie Mills has loved baseball since she was a child. Everything from the turf to the concessions feels like home. After her father, owner of the Ashville Aviators, passes away suddenly Jackie and those around her are left in shock when they discover her father named her heir. Jackie is now the first female in history to own a major league baseball team. She has some great ideas to incite change within the team, like bringing Corbin West, baseball scientist on board. But not everyone is thrilled with the change in regime and soon after West arrives Jackie begins receiving threats. Determined to prove she can handle her father's legacy and not be scared away, Jackie suits up to hit a grand slam. She just hopes she doesn't strike out before getting to the batter's box.

Chance Colt was living his best life as professional baseball player. That all came crashing down after he was in a car accident last year. Now he's stuck watching his team from the bench and he can't even hit the baseball. Lacey Lane is a familiar face in Chance's past and comes back in with more determination that ever to stay there. She strongly believes that they belong together and desperately wants Chance to give them a shot. She leaves Chance conflicted more than ever what direction his life is going in. He finds himself clinging to the sport he's dedicated his life to and tempted by the girl he has always turned down.
