In the middle of an isolated Forest a large lake surrounded a lab, whom contained people genetically changed forever.

the lab was aiming to create something to rid the world of its diseases without causing side effects, as the human race had contracted several deadly diseases and viruses. unfortunately human experimentation was illegal,
so made a deal with the government and they took nine people from there homes for their testing, one out of the nine had 'no side effects' from all the genetical modification. well at least no visible ones.
Even though what they were doing was inhumane they continued doing it, they had mixed in genetics from several creatures in with human DNA.

They continue to experiment on the ones that had side effects ,like animal appendages, on multiple occasions they would use people like this to test 'medicine' on. They thought they could reverse the genetics that they had changed within the person, unfortunately that was impossible but
they never stopped trying.

Unannounced to these people the more they experiment on them they more they're killing them, Only If they escape will they survive.
