"Look," father hands me a sheet of paper with letters on it. "The prince is looking for a queen.." I swallowed the lump forming in my throat. "Be ready by sunset. You shall be clean." He walks out to his shop and leaves mother and I at the table.
"Please Aurora.. for the sake of us. We can barley afford enough food.." I glanced at her fragile hands and see how skinny she is getting.
