"This is the story about John Wintergreen, who got reaped for the 70th Hunger Games with his 12 year old neighbor, Jenny Cornwell. Following the rules that only one winner can be crowned, they were both conflicted when being reaped together. However, they both made a pact to not kill each other. 

So what happens if one of them betrays that promise? And on top of it all, lets the entire nation know? How is the District going to react when one of them comes home, having killed the other and how will that life become for the new victor?"

Reaped at the age of 14, Sylvia Mason is one everybody in the Capitol expects to be killed right off at the beginning of the Games. Appearing as a weakling to the crowd and to the other tributes, nobody has high expectations about her. So how was it then that she ended up winning the 66th Hunger Games? This is the story about the girl that became adamant, she who developed an outer skin thicker than most.
