Chong song yi is a popular actress and the only daughter of business tycoon Fong li song, she is beautiful, witty, and open minded, but also stubborn and sometimes rude, Chong song yi absolutely loves her life, she loves partying, so the club is her second best place, her first favorite place however is her mom's tomb, where she often goes to talk with her mother, being that her father is mostly busy and distant. Another person she sometimes relates to is her high school class mate, Dong sai fang, Dong is charming, smart, funny and head over heels for Song Yi, but she doesn't return his feelings, and would rather have him as a friend, however he doesn't back away, and tries his best to stay by song yi's side, hoping she would change her mind about him.

Song yi's world however is threatened when an attempt is made on her life by one of her father's shady dealers, in an effort to protect her, Fong li goes in search for a bodyguard, and finally choses one of South Korean's most reputable and dependable bodyguard, Gao Wei Bin.

Gao's reputation precedes him as he takes his job and responsibilities very seriously and as professional as possible, he is good looking, humble and looks descent, but Gao has a background story that only few know about, and a secret he wishes to take with him to the grave.Gao and Chong have an encounter and a not so pleasant one at that, which leaves Chong being hateful of Gao, and Gao equally disgusted by her attitude, ( talk about starting on the wrong foot ) .

Minutes after her encounter with Gao, Chong however receives a call from her father to come to his office, Chong is reluctant, thinking her father wants to set her up with some other rich playboy, but she goes to him anyway. She arrives at his office finally and finds Gao there, she speaks rudely to him, and insists her father throw him out immediately, but Chong however gets the shock of her life when her father finally introduces Gao to her as her new bodyguard.
