Raychel and Kelly Wilson are two normal girls who grew up in Seattle, Washington with their parents and 3 younger siblings. Everything changes the day their parents take a job offer and move to New York, leaving them with their aunt Alyssa, the worst person they ever met. Soon after her arrival, the two decide that home no longer feels like a place for them to stay. They move out and spend the summer at their best friend's apartment in the city, before starting at a boarding high school in the fall. Their semi-normal lives develop into something extraordinary, when the story of a crazy inventor, and some surprising facts about their family get involved. The girls try to keep things a secret, but in high school, no secret stays hidden forever.
