Secrets are lethal weapons.

They're like arrows: swift, clean, agile, murderous, always set on giving the killing blow on its target. Or they're bombs: huge, heavy, causing great impact on its prey and its surroundings. Whether it's a big secret or a small one, whoever holds the word, holds the power. Because Knowledge is Power.

Lucy Heartfilia knows this.

Ignorance is a shield.

It traps you, encapsulates you, protects you from anything and everything that can, and will, harm you. It acts as your defense, your army, ready to take every blow from the outside, leaving you in the center of it all, unaffected. No arrows nor bombs can go through, over or under and get to you; it's a safe haven.

Natsu Dragneel knows this.

Reality is a grenade.

It stuns you, paralyzes you, catches your attention and makes you want to flee the other way. It's a game changer, throwing curveballs from each angle and its blast can mark both its target and its companions. It shifts the balance, and suddenly things weren't exactly as they seemed.

Secrets can be weapons, Ignorance can be a shield; Secrets can be a shield, Ignorance can be a weapon.

When Reality strikes, make sure you are ready to face it. Because your shield may just crack under pressure and the arrows and bombs will go through, over and under it to get to you. Or worse, they may already be inside with you. Or, they can be you.

Natsu and Lucy are unaware and unprepared.
