Rom and Chase return, but this time they are in a new pack and a whole new set of challenges. The Crescent Hill pack fits them perfect considering being different is normal. The pack is filled with all different creatures such as elves, griffin, even some trolls. 

Rom though he had gotten away from being an alpha but his born instincts kick in and he is soon made alpha of the pack. On top of that he discovers he is an Enforcer. Now he considered a protector from evil and is sought out by the same evil and the high council. Learning to balance a pack, his family, and his new Enforcer powers will take all his strength and all the support he can get from Chase.

Chase finally reaches the top as hospital director in Crescent hill, but soon learns the cost is too much. He also begins to discover his own alpha instincts and is pulled in different directions. He will either have to chose or make some comprises. He also learns just how much his mate Rom loves and needs him. He finally shows his vulnerable side when he realizes he could lose Rom maybe forever.
