Sage Nwafor, a 26-year-old young African-American woman, got her life and career together to move out of her parent's home. Now living on her own in New Jersey, she thought she was going to leave the dating life behind and just focus on her career in the beauty industry as a writer. Until she met Dylan Andino, a 34-year-old Greek-American, at her best friend's bonfire last Fall, and he refuses to let her out of his sight.

However, Sage is scared to open up and doesn't want to feel insignificant again to another man. Dylan's acts of pursuit scare her, but something deep down in her heart tells hers to give a shot at love one more try.
