Olivia Elephanta, twin sister to Olive Elephanta, always feels left out. Her peculiar sister who could light things up with the touch of her fingers attracted all the attention. The twin even looked different, for her strikingly red hair was out of the ordinary from their parents who both had brown eyes and brown hair. The only thing the sisters shared were their strikingly blue eyes. The two's desperate parents traveled the world for a specialist who could help, until they came upon Miss Peregrine and her home for peculiar children. Originally, the parents were just going to drop off Olive, and on the way home, Olivia was to be dropped at an insane asylum for the "voices" she had been hearing. It was Miss Peregrine who discovered Olivia's peculiarity, but just because she was peculiar too, didn't mean she still wasn't outshined by her sister. I DON'T OWN ANY PART OF MPFPC!!! Olive wanted something to happen, but she didn't really know what. One of Kit's hands released its grip on her hair, sliding instead to cup her face, his thumb resting on her chin just below her lips. "You've never kissed anyone, have you?" he asked lowly, and his voice sounded different. Gravelly. Darker, almost. She shook her head as much as she could in his grip, which wasn't much, but didn't dare look away from him. "No, but I..." she trailed off, feeling like saying 'but I want to' would make her sound too eager, too desperate. ** Olive is still grappling with the recent loss of her father, while also trying to navigate re-learning how to live after her brother was arrested for murder. Lacking a social life, self-confidence, and any semblance of normalcy, she returns to college. She hopes to keep her head down and stay under the radar, but soon discovers that getting noticed by the group of friends she always sits behind at lunch may not be a bad thing after all. Especially when one of them is tall, tattooed, and keeping secrets... Cover by @fuzziwrites
