He had spent centuries alone moving through life with a bleak outlook. Eric Cross only had his job to keep him going, running high stakes rescue missions as a lone ranger of sorts. He was determined to work alone so what was he to do when his mission turns the tables on him, demanding he let her help him as they attempted to escape the clutches of the enemy?
Tisha Rivers was trapped behind enemy lines when a stranger appears to rescue her. His cold demeanor with his apparent superiority complex grates on her nerves. She was an elite soldier and demanded equality from him as they made their escape from the enemy.
Would he let her in enough to escape or would his lone soldier mind set get them both killed? Would she work her way under his cold shell or let him win?

Saving Leah Series Book 4 Publishes on Amazon! Link in my Bio. One test, only two results. Teague had everything a dominant could hope for: a loving family, freedom to chase any career, and the privilege of higher education. The only thing missing was a submissive to complete his life. But with mounting student debt threatening his future, he makes a bold choice-enlisting in the army to secure financial stability. It seemed like an easy decision at the time. After all, there hadn't been a war in years. Basic training, drills, maybe some security detail-he could handle a few years of service for the country he loved. What could go wrong? Then, war erupted. Thrown onto the front lines, Teague finds himself deep in the chaos, far from the secure future he once envisioned. His mission now: sweep through the war-torn, supposedly abandoned city of Duro. But as with everything in war, nothing is as it seems. Then there was her, a woman. Her fate had been sealed the second she came from the womb. As the fourth wife of a powerful lord, her life was a shadow-always the least favored, the least important, the least considered. Her only goal: survive another day. But when horrors tear through her home, she's forced into a choice that changes everything-one that leaves her with blood on her hands. Captured and taken behind enemy lines, she faces an impossible decision: who can she trust in a world governed by power and control? The ways of her captors seem so similar to her own people, yet Teague insists they are not.

*UNDERGOING EDITING AND SMALL CHANGES RANKED #1 IN #DADSBESTFRIEND TROPE My gaze was fixed on Weston, wanting to look away so he didn't see me but unable to, and so when he whipped his head in my direction, he looked me square in the eyes. I was painfully aware of how I was sitting on Dego's lap, his arm around my waist, mine around his neck. I couldn't move, couldn't breathe, and he didn't either for several time stopping seconds. Then he slowly took a step in my direction, and kept walking until he was standing directly in front of Dego and I. •~•~•~•~•~•~••~~• Two years ago Avery Blackwood's father met and married a demure Sunday school teacher, who, within a matter of months, spent his entire savings and completely wiped out everything he'd done over the years, wrapping up the whole thing by having an affair. Her father divorced the woman, but it was too late to save the families finances, and before they could even begin to get back on their feet, Daniel Blackwood is deployed to the middle east, leaving Avery with her wealthy cousins to try and acclimate to an environment foreign to the one she was raised in. The pressure builds until Avery makes the choice to leave, her destination over halfway across the country; her brothers ranch in southeastern Colorado. The only obstacles-she has fifty dollars to her name and no car, and her controlling aunt standing in the way. Influenced by a childhood of war and action movies, Avery, armed with a bowie knife and determination, simply heads out the back door and doesn't look back. She isn't expecting her envisioned trek across America to end so soon; a chance meeting with a family friend and neighbor who feels responsible for his friends daughter causes her to alter her plans. Within the few days she is with Weston Travers, she falls for him, and falls hard, but falling in love with someone ten years her senior may not have the fairytale ending every girl dreams about. Eric Lets Go

43 parts Complete Mature

Dauntless has created an image for Eric after an incident during his initiation and no one knows the real him nor do they want to know the real him. When it is time for new initiates, he has to overlook their training as part of his leader training. When an Amity transfer gets a little too close to Eric, she wants to know who he really is, NOT the ruthless leader image he projects to be. Eric doesn't know how to react because no one has ever tried to get close to him before so how should he react? Will he react in a good or bad way? Does she despise the real Eric or will she help him let go of the past and love the real him? All rights/ credits go to Veronica Roth. I did not make this story myself just the few characters and other twists I threw in there. Veronica Roth is a great writer so if you haven't read the Divergent series, it's your loss.
