Always And Forever.

A promise Kol was jealous of. He knew that this promise was a curse but that didn't stop him from wanting to be a part of it. To feel that he's a part of something.

Everyone knows and some even pity Klaus for having his werewolf side locked but no one ever thought about Kol who didn't have a way of bringing back his magic like Klaus did.

To Kol the only one that ever considered him family or even tried to get along with him was Finn, his older brother who also lost his magic.

Kol got really attached to Finn as he was the only one to ever show him the meaning of family and affection. Though he never showed it, he really appreciated the small effort Finn put in trying to get closer to him.

Klaus thinks that the reason Kol plotted against him and tried to make him a dagger was because he wanted revenge, when in truth Kol wanted 2 things;

1) To make his older brother understand the pain he felt when he got daggerd which non other than him and Finn felt due to their ex-witch side. (Klaus would feel it too as a hybrid)

2) Which is to free Finn from his pain and remove his dagger without being stopped for the millionth time.
