Twenty-two year old, Margaret, Maggie, Prince have never had an easy childhood. With her parents favoring her twin more than her, she began to try to find her place in the world with a guy that had promised her the world and finding her love in horses. Unfortunately for her, the male that claimed that she was his world chose her sister over her, leaving her with a daughter of four years.
Getting fed up with the way that she has been ignored and stepped on, she packed her daughter and her ten year old brother before moving to the small town of Cason County in Colorado. There she met a farm boy that had been through somewhat the same shit that she had been through.
Twenty-four year old Bryson Green thought love was never for him. After he found out that his girlfriend of five years cheated on him, because he had to raise his deceased brother's three children, he knew that it was true. He swore off love and just spent most of his time caring for his siblings' kids and taking care of the ranch he had inherited from his family.
But, Fate has a funny way of making things work. And because of fate, these two meet. Will these two stubborn people fall in love? Or will they just live through the motions of life and not live?

Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations. While others her age are embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story! The Paralyzed Dream (COMPLETED) by Cowgirl1515
40 parts Complete
Lacey Anne Ferry grew up on a cattle ranch in Montana where riding horses was an everyday part of her life. She loved the horses, cattle, and the hard work that came with living on a working ranch. In the little free time that she had, Lacey rodeoed. When she wasn't running barrels, she was roping; when she wasn't roping, she was pole bending; when she wasn't pole bending, she was cutting...the list went on. Lacey Ferry was the one cowgirl that everyone wanted to beat. She was phenomenal at every rodeo event that she competed in. Everything that was familiar to Lacey came crashing down around her when a freak barrel racing accident left her paralyzed from the waist down...and terrified of horses. Two things that she never thought she'd be. Instead of being outside almost 24/7 like she was before her accident, Lacey now refuses to leave the house. The doctors say that Lacey will never be able to walk, rodeo, or even ride a horse ever again. New ranch hand, Chet Slade Reid, "Slade," sets out to show Lacey that that stuff doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Can Slade help Lacey to get her confidence and love for horses back, or will her accident have left her too scarred to "get back on the horse" and "cowgirl up"? Slade was hired as a ranch hand, but as he sets out to help Lacey get the courage to ride again, he finds himself attracted to her. Despite his growing affection for her, Slade's dark past keeps him from telling Lacey his true feelings for her. Lacey sets aside her own insecurities to comfort Slade when a person from his past resurfaces. With God's help, will Slade and Lacey be able to live in the present but look forward to the future, or will they stay paralyzed in the past?
