When Arden stumbles across a half-conscious, bloodied girl at his local train station, he doesn't know what to think. But once she tells him what happened to her, he gains a whole new perception of his world.
Arden lives in pretty much the perfect setting. His family loves him, his future job is tailored to suit his talents, and he has a promising future with his girlfriend. He never intended for things to unravel when he finds a half-conscious girl in a pool of blood stowed away on a cargo train -- he just wanted to help her. But once she wakes up, he gets a lot more than he bargained for.
She tells him a story of risk-taking, of discoveries. Of adventure, hope, and sadness. She seems to have more questions than answers.
Answers he can't give her.
But there's one thing Arden does realize: His superiors are hiding things from him. Things that could be their downfall.
