Brooke, disguised as a boy called "Bryan," is kidnapped by a sea serpent working for a magically-cursed boy, Kai. Kai was cursed to become tragically handsome and immortal by Jinx, a witch with no common sense and twisted logic. Good, right? Wrong. Everyone thought he's too shallow to even exist, but they don't see the hidden side of Kai, the side that's been keeping him from slipping from reality. He's told by the witch that only true hatred could break the curse, but who would hate his perfection? Could he break Brooke's heart? Or would winning hers be worth it?
