Yuna never intended to meet the boy with the brightest smile she's ever seen and, she never intended, to meet the future pirate king, but she did. After witnessing the massacre of her family, Yuna hid inside a barrel. She was terrified, sad, and so damn tired that she fell asleep inside the wooden container. She didn't notice it roll into the ocean nor getting picked up by the marines. Yuna didn't even notice when it bumped continuously on the ground as the marines kicked it into the food cellar. When Yuna did wake up, her body was sore, but she felt well-rested. Blasting open the top of the barrel, Yuna stretched before getting out and walking to the deck, scaring the marines at her sudden appearance. That's how Garp found the white-haired girl, guns pointed at her, dress stained with the blood of her family she tried to save, and a bored look on her face. That was the start of her great adventure. That was the start of her new life with her new best friend, and she couldn't be happier.

Elric Graveborn was never meant to be free. In his past life, he was just another ordinary boy whose journey ended far too soon, cut short by heart cancer at seventeen. He had no regrets, no unfinished business. His life had been lived. That was enough. And then? The universe decided that was boring. Reborn into the One Piece world, Elric awakens with a Rune Mark burned into his skin-a bad legacy tied to him. His weapon, Hollow Echo, hums with the unknown whispers, while the Master Mark, a cruel seal, ensures his obedience. But hey, he's alive, and healthy considering his previous health record, that's already an improvement. "I could complain about fate, but honestly? Breathing is nice. The ocean looks good. I'm not dying yet. Yeah, I'll take the win." At the dawn of a new era, he collides with Monkey D. Luffy, a pirate with boundless ambition and an unwavering will. Elric sails with the Straw Hats, but not officially, not yet. He don't know if Luffy can help with his problems. "What's your dream?" Luffy asks eagerly. Elric hesitates. Dream? He's spent his life surviving, not chasing dreams. "I dunno. Maybe not dying young again? That sounds fun." Luffy snorts. "That's a terrible dream! You need a BIG one!" Elric sighs, rubbing his temples. "Right. I'll think of something inspiring later. Give me, I don't know... a week?" Zoro, the skeptical one watches Elric with measured eyes. "You escaped something big," Zoro mutters. "But you're still carrying it. What are you actually worried about?" Elric exhales, unsure how to answer. He doesn't know where to start. "I could explain, but even I don't understand it yet," he admits. "So really, I'm just kind of winging it. Hope that helps." But deep down, he knows time is running out. Before the Grand Line unfolds, he has to make a choice. Because once he sails into the Grand Line won't just test him. It will become his battlefield.
