Two stars, two categories.
Ever since these two stars appeared in the night sky, the people on Earth started to bore symbols that are shown on their wrists once they are born. And these symbols predict their partner for life.
There are two symbols.
One is a blue bird, which means that your partner is always near you. They are easy to find and you are most likely already met in your lifetime.
But the other, the white butterfly...means that you have to venture great extents to find this person. They are difficult to meet because it is like they are from another world that you need to discover for you to reach them.
If you WERE to be able to find your soulmate, the symbol will light up, and only the two of you can see it's brightness.
Giyuu Tomioka is one of the very few people on Earth to bore the white butterfly. He was a man that was never enthusiastic or motivated to find this person that was so called his " meant to be". But when he met this woman, Shinobu Kocho, who didn't bore such symbols, he wanted to know the meaning of looking for something. The feeling of longing. To travel far away even if it means reaching the line between the sky and the earth.
He wanted to journey alongside someone...
