Don't Let Go, I Need You

Kana Ozaki embraces her cursed cycle of the first-born child dying before 18. She tries her best to think positively and explore the world around her despite fear of dying slowly eating her up. Kana doesn't want to die; she wants to live a life like everyone else has. She reached out to Shoko so she could teach Kana the reverse cursed technique, if one day she's on her deathbed. Kana wants to show her family that she will and can survive past 18.

Along with her main goal, she forces her childhood friend, Megumi to take her on "dates". He doesn't complain much since they have done it for years now. Megumi knows that Kana is destined to die now or later, so maybe he's complying because he pities her? He, himself doesn't know the answer to that; however, Megumi later finds himself protecting her out of his heart and feelings for Kana.

"Hey, don't fall in love with me because I force you on these dates. There's no point of loving a soon-to-be dead person."
