The voice was whispered, harsh and scared. She opened her eyes. Where was she? 
She had rolled over into a bush of brambles in her sleep. Cursing silently, her eyes blurry from her restless night, she untangled herself from the thorns.

This is the first draft of a book I'm writing so it is not professionally edited.

It is set in post apocalyptic England on the m1 motorway (or highway ) and each chapters plot is determined by a tarot card that I draw at random which is what gives the chapters there names

"Sweetheart wake up. You're at the hospital." I looked up and saw the same woman hovering over me. "Oh...okay." I opened my eyes fully and noticed that I was already in the hospital bed. Why on earth did she have to wake me? "So why am I here?" I asked confused. "Well," she said pulling a short and skinny woman into the room. "This very sweet lady saw you on the side of the road and called 9-1-1." I looked up at her and she threw me an evil look. In a way, she seemed strongly familiar. I looked away slowly diving my eyes back into the direction of the nurse. "Before we leave you, I just wanted to let you know that my name is Julia. You can call me whatever works best for you. Julia, Nurse, Nurse Julia. Whatever. I'll be right back with your papers." Sixteen-year-old Abigail Moore, also referred to as Ginger by her boyfriend Cameron Wood, has lived a terrible sixteen years. She grew up with her drug-addict mother who didn't care enough to properly raise her, and she's stuck living alone for a good amount of her teenage years. Once Abigail's mother got put in jail for suspected murder of Abigail's older sister, Julia, Abigail is forced to live with her aunt.
