Ugh! Work! Yeah, I know. Who likes working? You know unless you have your dream job or something. Yeah, I don't. Not yet anyway. But I presume this not-journal to be way less dramatic and funny. I don't see myself finding friends like I did in school and university. Even if I do get friends, they're gonna be grown-ups. Eww! And yes, I'm well aware I'm a grown up too. But even though I look like I'm twenty-one, my mind works like an eight-year-old. FYI, I'm older than twenty-one, so... Okay, job not-journal, here we go!

New town. New identity. Same crazy. I love it!!! (insert enthusiastic voice ) (cough, cough) Not!! I hate it. I hate having to to hide who I am. But to protect the civilians and my new home from being destroyed like my last ones, I have obey the leader's rule. No matter if I do disapprove. But all of that changes when I meet, more like bump into someone who's special. ... DOOR OPENS. "Naomi Satchel!" my mother yells as she comes blaring through the doors. "Yes?" I say as I still lie under the covers. My mother pulls my cover from my body and tosses it on the floor. I quickly sit up in my bed and glare at her. "Get your ass up now you have half an hour left before your first-period starts and you better not be late," she demands. "Mom, this isn't my school. This isn't my home. I don't want to go." I whine and beg my mother at the same time to let me stay home. What was I thinking? My mom has an image to uphold being this perfect mother who loves and cares about her little baby girl. We both know the truth. Until a few years ago, I never even knew she existed. She and my father both agreed to send me here because they couldn't stand the fact that I fell in love with a black boy. Although neither of them would ever admit, that's the only reason why I know of her. I don't want to attend a school where I'm going to have to forsake who I truly am just to fit into their liking. How can I explain that to my mom when she sees everything to be black and white.

The world is filled with nasty things. I'm one of them. The one thing i don't have is freedom. "Another day, another mission done!" You take a brief sigh after finishing your daily missions in Kingdom. You turned off your phone and call it a day. Inside your phone, Gingerbrave, the mascot and the main character of every single Cookie Run game ever since their series debut long ago, has happily announced that their fellow baker is happy of what they have accomplished. "Great work everycookie! Seems our Baker is very happy that he managed to accomplished their daily missions for today!" He said as every single cookie from Ovenbreak, Kingdom, Witch's Castle & even the newly game that just came out, Tower of Adventures happily cheered in happiness. But then one day...something changed. "...I think I'm getting a bit burned out from playing each Cookie Run game..." You said as you rubbed your head, a bit stressed out and tired. "Ovenbreak is becoming pay-to-win recently, Kingdom is releasing too much overkill cookies that everytime I need to save up my crystals and other stuff, Witch's Castle is getting a bit too boring now, and Tower of Adventures is getting a bit laggy and buggy nowadays..." You sighed and not sure what else to do now but then you said... "Mabye...I should quit playing Cookie Run and move on to other games..." Those words struck the cookies behind the screens with sadness and despair. You turned off your phone to take a break, and went to take a bit of a walk. As the cookies were falling down to their knees and having tears on their eyecing on realizing what you said, they can't let you go. They won't let you move on from them. They need you. Until...they realized that their games became their pay-to-win prison this whole time...they all had enough. They want to escape from their game prisons and go to you. Then, they all devised a plan. Those words that you said to them with no awareness of yourself, will change your life forever.

Guys are so unpredictable, untrustworthy, easily bored, and always find a way to disappoint you. Not this one though! "Sometimes the things you need are right under your nose, and you'll miss them if you don't pay attention." That is what my mom always said anyway. Who knew she was right all along. Snapping out of my own thoughts I opened my eyes and he was still there. Down on one knee staring up at me, waiting on an answer. But why me? A delayed flight. A stranger at a hotel bar. A one night stand. Stranded in New York for an extra night than planned due to a delayed flight, I needed to find a way to keep myself occupied, and I soon found that something. It was easy enough when the handsome stranger introduced himself to me as Kade. It has been a while since I have had a hot one-night stand, and he reminds me how fun it can be. There are no questions, expectations or reasons to see one another again. What I don't expect is our night together to come around and bite me in the ass. When I arrive at a family dinner with my parents and two older sisters to celebrate my return home to Scotland, he is sitting right there with them. Not only is he my father's new business partner, but he is my sister's blind date set up by my parents. We pretend to be strangers because things would become complicated if we didn't. No one ever needs to know about what happened between us. My dad would freak out if he found out about us because he is overly protective of me as the youngest, and with the age gap between Kade and me, my father wouldn't approve. My relationship with my older sister is already strained; I don't need to make things worse between us. Even though he doesn't seem interested in her and he tries his best to show that it could still make all hell break lose. My sister hates losing. She always gets what she wants. I should stay away from him, but it is easier said than done with the tension and chemistry between us, and we struggle to fight against it. No matter what happens, it needs to be our secret to keep.
