Jess goes to college and finds that life without money for pizza is hard.  She gets a job at Discount City, a local big-box retail store, and soon gets sucked into the mystery of the strange way some of the workers there are acting--like robots.  Despite risks to her own safety and job, she digs further and finds just how deeply the Discount City damage has gone all in the name of profits.
