Everything was perfect in her life. Everyone was happy. But, one accident changes her entire life. Layla Hummels gets stuck in time, when everyone else moves on with their lives. She is angry at the world and mostly angry at herself.
However, she meets a certain person, a certain boy-Zevon Trask. He is charming, a bad boy, something like James Dean, an enigma and has his own share of complications. He helps Layla, Layla helps him. They both get each other in a place somewhere between pain and relief. They fall in love with each other, but just at different times.
What happens in the end? Can they let go of their past? Do they both get what they are searching for? Do they find happiness? Do they find love? Do they discover themselves? Do they find their own way?

This story is a piece of fiction. The story is set in New York. I have never been there but I really want to go there and I have done a little research. I have made up places but with similarities of the real ones. It's like Gotham in Batman. I hope you enjoy reading it. Comment, vote, ask questions. I am all up for it. Some of the plot is being changed so there might be a few areas that get confusing, nothing too much though) Funny how life decides to act like a roller coaster. The ups and down come in a split second. You can't decide whether you want fast or slow. Dangerous or steady. But you don't get a choice. You go with the flow. No matter what. I'm Phoenix Wood, the misfit, and outcast of my town. Instead of a roller coaster my life's more like a train wreck. My adventure loving parents were lost at sea and I was left to my aunt Clare Small. Like I said, train wreck... Not roller coaster, TRAIN WRECK. Not to mention the fact that I end up stuck with the bad boy. Could it get any worse? Secrets unravel and life gets a bit more complicated that it used to be. But it must go on.
