Based on a novel by Robert C.S. Downs and a 1980s television film that starred Bette Davis and Ernest Harden Jr., in the big city of New York, this play adaptation is about an elderly white widow named Estelle Malone who becomes a foster mother to an African American foster teen, B.T. Williamson for the support money. When Estelle gets evicted from her apartment, B.T. joins a boxing ring to raise money to support each other.
The author granted me full permission to adapt his novel to a stage adaptation.All Rights Reserved
