What if you're all alone? You have friends, but you don't tell them what you really feel. Which is loneliness. There's no escape, or that's what a voice says in her head. 16 year old Shelby faces the world with a wavering brave smile, there really is nothing else to do. She can't just lay around and wait for death to take over, she has to push against the crowds and attempt to keep moving. That's what she will do, it's all she CAN do. Shelby one day decides to go to that creepy old house at the end of town, her friends running after her. They go in, but nothing will ever be the same. Will Shelby, Nisie, Keena, James, Lucas, David, and Alice ever come back out? Or will they live their nightmares over and over again?

This book is the tale of a mystery that was never solved. It is a mystery that to this day stumps even the world's greatest minds. It's a story that only I, Alissa Lauren Kiang, can tell the truth about. This story is something that I had to experience with four of my best friends, people who had been there for each other for all of my life, through all of my ups and downs. While I had to go through hardships, they were always with me. They knew everything about me, and I, them. We were with each other through everything we ever had to deal with. Through depression, through loss, and through accomplishments. No matter what the occasion, they were always there for me, and I for them. They were people I would soon realize meant the world to me. But as the saying goes, you never really know what you have until you truly lose it forever. P.S. there is a little bit of blood and gore mentioned, and suicide and murders occur, so TRIGGER WARNING
