Tyler is confused about nearly everything. He spends endless hours pondering the meaning of his existence and struggles to see past the pain in the world. Music seems to distract him and give him some kind of focus and refines his outlook on life. Tyler's senior year approaches and due to endless pressure from his parents to go to college he become reclusive and questions the whole idea. He begins to fall into habits were he spends time alone thinking about almost everything and avoids human contact. Looking for someone, searching for some kind of purpose, Tyler befriends a new student named Josh and his life begins to become somewhat clear.
