Julie's lost her contacts right before going onstage and can't see anything. Luke has a very bad cold and both sounds terrible and is about to pass out. Alex's hand is broken and he is in very much pain. Reggie just had a really bad hair day. Welcome to the performance where nothing goes right.
(Original concept is not mine! The plot was a group effort from a few people in a Discord server, and if any of y'all wanna be credited by name/as coauthor just lemme know)

Julie and her band have just played the biggest night of their life, and now must figure out how to deal with the new challenges, and opportunities. A while ago on an Instagram live with Madison and Charlie, it was brought up very briefly that Luke and Alex -- when the guys were still alive, that is -- were together. To this, Charlie responded by saying "yea, of course." Furthermore, in a Wikipedia-esque webpage made for Sunset Curve, in the bio section for Luke it states something along the lines of "previously had a relationship with bandmate Alex." This topic was also brought up while Owen was on an Instagram live, where he said that it was something that definitely happened and that they had "something special." A lot of people are pretty sure they were both joking (and i am, too) but the idea of it is cute and leaves a potential back story to be desired. So, from an idea spouted on my TikTok (@lowqualitykate), this fic was born. Might this be a single string story about three ghosts and a girl from certain Netflix show we all know? Yes. 'Cause allow me to say i'm still pissed off about not having the 5 seasons we deserved. So i decided to create my own. This is "Now Or Never", a fanfiction i've been wanting to write forever about the canceled show "Julie and The Phantoms" (i'm coming for you Netflix). The plot by itself revolves around Luke and Julie, but of course they wouldn't be Luke and Julie if there weren't a Reggie and an Alex. So it's also about the band and it's future by itself.
