The worlds most famous boy band breaks up and goes their separate ways. Harry Styles wants to create a new face for himself but struggles to let go of his past relationship with a member of the band. Louis Tomlinson is faced with the death of his mother and is straying further and further away from his girlfriend Eleanor after the break up of the band. He resorts to song writing and his passion for music to help him cope. One day, after a coincidental disagreement with Eleanor, Louis receives a longing text message from Harry. Maybe it won't be only his music that'll help him cope.

Harry Styles is a loner with social anxiety and a boring life. His past constantly mocks him and he has a severe self harm addiction that nobody, not even his best friend Zayn, knows about. Louis Tomlinson is the first openly gay member of his town's football (soccer) team and he doesn't want his sexuality to define him. He hates being known as "Louis, the gay one" and he is constantly bullied. He is very insecure about his sexuality and does anything to seem manly, which includes begging Niall and Liam to let him be. Both boys attend the same college. When they meet, their newfound friendship turns out to be great for the both of them. It eventually turns to a relationship. They are both in their own states of Misery.
