"Problems that shouldn't involve me," you retorted in a hiss. For once, your glare was powerful and dictating. "Leave. I can't risk your bullshit falling into my life."
"I think that's a little too late," he sighed. "An empath and a divine being having one simple interaction--Sorry, but you're in this for the long run."

Get up, go to work, buy groceries, take the bus home, and go to bed. A continuous routine you've followed for half a year now. Simple, easy, clean. But perhaps you have to bend that schedule a tad to add the unpredicted details that you find on the bus one day.
