hoseok and yoongi had been friends since childhood. when they were in high school, yoongi developed feelings for his close friend hoseok but kept it a secret from him for the rest of their high school years and when they were in college together, hoseok started practicing dance choreography with a girl. they started to get close but yoongi saw it as something more of a friendship between hoseok and the girl and everytime hoseok would tell yoongi they were just friends, he wouldn't listen and let his overthinking mind believe otherwise.
