Mystery
Lori aka Lorraine Walters is a simple high school student in the small town of Haven Port. And she seems like she's got it all. Loving parents - Check. Amazing friends- Check. Good academic grades- Check. Wanted by the FBI - Check. Wait What?! Lorraine doesn't know how her perfect dream life turned in to a waking nightmare. And now, she has to figure out a way to escape it and make things right before she loses it all, including her sanity. ~~~~ "I had a good life. I was on the right track to a bright future. Why is this happening to me? Goddammit!" The steel cuffs dug deeper into my wrists when I tried to move away from the table. The chains holding my cuffs attached to the table made it impossible for me to not stare at the pictures laid in front of me. Blood. There was blood everywhere. Dead bodies drenched in blood. They were the victims of a serial killer. Each victim was displayed for the townspeople to witness the sheer brutality of a monster, cloaked in human skin. It's a warning of what's to come. I can still see flash lights of crimson and blue in the distance, speeding towards me when I heard the first cry of a siren. It was so loud. The noise, all the screaming... the ringing in my ears never stopped. Not when the police came to the school. Not when they arrested me. "You killed Trevor! You killed all of them! Murderer!" A punch to the face will get you out of the shock. Or atleast that's what happened to me. Paige was pulled off me by some of the officers before she could do anymore damages. Well, that's a moot point now. She ended up breaking my nose and her brand-new nails. Poor Paige. Sigh. I shouldn't really be making fun of her. She's a certified mean girl and she truly thinks I killed her latest boy toy, so, she really can't be blamed for her actions. "Lorraine Walters , you are hereby arrested for the serial killings of the Haven Port town." How did I even end up here?

Taylor, a beautiful and young college student, ready to take on the world with her quick wit and incredible talent for reporting and journalism, soon finds herself in a sticky situation. Did she dig too deep into the wrong persons story? Tanner, a handsome and mature yet shy student studying law. He wants to go into the police force as a detective, possibly a private detective. He's only taking a few law classes for fun before he goes to the police academy. What will happen when they try to solve a mystery together? Will they help or hurt each other? Or along the way, will they somehow fall in love without trying to? ~ I say, "I'm sorry..." as my breathing is uneasy. "Don't be," he bends down to help pick up the mixture of books and papers and coffee I just spilt everywhere. "Are you okay? You seem disturbed." He lays his hand on mine and 8 can't help but look up, "Umm, to be honest, no, but that's not any of your business. Sorry again." I break the eye contact. "It can be if someone is trying to hurt you." He stops me again. "H- How did you..." I stop and am now looking him dead in the eye. "This is gonna sound creepy, but I've been watching you." He looks panicked, "Not in a creepy way though!" "What?" I keep eye contact. "I've just been observing you. That sounds awful." He looks and sounds even more panicked than before, "I mean, I think you're beautiful and I just didn't know how to approach you. I tend to be socially awkward with girls I have an interest in and I didn't want to scare you off..." He trails off, "But when I see you around, my gaze gravitates towards you," he sighs, "I sound like a total creep. I'm sorry." He pauses, "I've noticed you've been looking over your shoulder a lot and are in a rush in the halls. Almost like you're running away from something..." His eyes meet mine and I can tell he's being genuine, "I can help you." he says sympathetically. I nod and whisper, "He's always knows where I am and always knows my next move."
