Elly is a poor, feisty, charming, stubborn, naughty little girl and always has been. Devlin is heir to the throne, good, obedient, teasing, cocky, charming boy. He just can't say no to the poor orphaned girl named Elly. They're forbidden to see each other, but being best friends, they can't stay away for long. They spent seven years of true friendship, but Elly's guardians grew tired of her and sent her to boarding school. Elly and Devlin tried to keep in touch, but they soon grew apart and moved on.

Boarding school for Elly is no big deal. She still does what she wants to do, not caring if she gets caught. Her three closest friends cause trouble throughout the entire school, with Elly and Cole leading the way. Cole has replaced Devlin and is Elly's new best friend. Her best friend with benefits. They spend more time together then you would think possible and know each other better then anyone else. They're never a part.

Until Elly's guardians decide to take her out of boarding school. During those four years, not once did they try to contact Elly. She didn't mind, since they were never there for her anyway. They were never her family and she didn't care about them. Though, she had no choice but to go with them, when they called her. She was forced to go back to where she grew up.

Back to where Devlin lived.
