For years, wizards had used magic to either recreate or copy natural magic occurences and creatures.

 Transfiguration of appearance, use of Polyjuice potion and the becoming of Animagus were all magical methods used to copy a type of magical creature: Homo Animalias. Ordinary people who can transform into certain animals at will.

The Homo Animalias were different tribes, peaceful in nature. When they refused to join Lord Voldemort, the whole species was killed. Except a small girl, who was taken in the care of Albus Dumbledore and lived at Hogwarts, and helped Remus Lupin during werewolf transformations.

Now, she joins Harry Potter and his two friends in this magical adventure.
