Ever since the brothers were young their parents were very cold and strict, they planned on making Ink the next ruler of the kingdom because as they claimed he was "more serious, logical"
But the real reason behind their choice was he was very easy to manipulate due to past experiences.
cross on the other side was mostly neglected by their parents since they focused on his brother but he never really cared.
Although when he heard a conversation between their parents about their "project"...
He couldn't accept it.
He would not let this happen.
The same night, he sneaked in his brother's room and did what needed to be done.

Depression... A Sansest Story.
Everything was running smoothly for the Star Sanses on this amazing day. Ink was drawing happily, Blue was running around chasing butterflies, and Dream was reading! Until we look a little... deeper. Dream was fine. But Ink was thinking about things much darker than his smile gave off. Blue, on the other hand, was thinking all happy thoughts! To an outsider. (WARNING: Has some no no language and some blood (I'm looking at you horror) You have been warned!) While it says Discontinued there's a small bit of hope I actually might keep going- Ink looked at the skeletons before him, wincing at the cold looks they were giving him. Cross and a Killer could be heard arguing from near the portal that led back to their gangs hideout while the other 3 hadn't taken their gaze off the nervous Creator No turning back now Ink thought, taking a deep breath before following after them to Nightmares castle. He can't show how nervous he was, or else they might pick on him. He wanted to be strong, but knew almost nothing about the 5 sanses, actually, wait, sorry 4 sanses, he knew error well. Still though, without Nightmare Ink had to take over for him as leader, first, he had to prove himself ----------------------------------------------------------------- Nightmare groaned again as Blue kept pestering him to try one of his foods and peppering him with questions, eventually he wondered if he was capable of shutting up. How does Ink do it?! Nightmare thought, glaring at Blue as he tuned him out. He was currently sharing his favorite moments with the Star Sanses and his brother Papyrus. Nightmare didn't care though, he was a bit worried about his gang and what Ink might make them do. He couldn't care less if they beat him up or Ink sent them on a rampage as long as they didn't dust themselves like the idiots they were. Break the cycle
The Multiverse for a long time has been an endless loop. Both inside the AUs and in itself. Error and Ink making a truce then breaking it in any possible way. The Dreamtale twins fight until Nightmare dies and Dream sacrifices his soul to plant a new tree of Feelings recreating a cycle. But, among everyone, there is one person who remembers each loop that took place and after a few centuries of trying to figure out what to do, he finally got it. He will break those endless cycles and try to finally give the Multiverse some peace. This is the story of that attempt.
