Elena's mother is a witch and her father is a werewolf. Kayla's mother is a werewolf and her father is a wizard. They're both. The only two of their kind. Mighty at their own. Invincible together. They end up in the same school for witches, where they get to know each other. They already feel a strong connection. When they see each other in a pack, they understand they're the same. They grow up to be inseparable.

A great evil threatens to cross the boundary between the magical world and the human world. Witches, werewolves, vampires, fairies, elves and more magical creatures come together to stop it. It soon becomes clear that no matter how large the group is, they are not strong enough. Are Kayla and Elena? Can they stop it in time? Are they willing to expose their secret identities?
There is also tension between friendships. Are they friendships, or is it going to be more? Maybe even less...
