A new take on the popular light novel and anime Overlord. Most fictions have been mostly about just replacing Ainz as the guild master and going through the exact same plot events. With this one, I hope to diverge and make things more interesting. This will be a crossover between Soulsverse and Overlord.
An above-average intelligence adult spends day to day life dedicated to one thing. Playing the famous DMMORPG Yggdrasil with his guild Ainz Ooal Gown. A band of heteromorphic players that was formed on the basis of discrimination of their chosen race. Everything he did was for the purpose of playing the game. Going to work to afford more cash items, reducing the amount of sleep for grinding, and even the stop of leaving his nice flat in the heart of Tokyo. Such a lifestyle could only sustain a human for so long before the fatigue would hamper it. During one of his famous grinding sessions, his body died and the first guild leader for Ainz Ooal Gown was lost.
Takeru Nogami's destiny however had other plans for him, for he would be stuck in a new game. One filled with unearthly challenges and constant death in a world of fire. Y/n would become the Ashen One.
