After receiving an exciting job opportunity, Stella's mom is obligated to move to the town of Willowdale, where fun is unheard of. Stella being an adventurous eight year old, can't stand the abundance of rain on one Sunday afternoon. Just when she thinks things could only get worse, her mom makes her some cookies and a pours a tall glass of milk, putting her to sleep. Stella is then abruptly awoken by glowing celestial being that oddly doesn't frighten her. The creature takes her hand and from there, the rest is otherworldly. Now it's Ginna who doesn't want to let go. She has so many questions-but there's no time to wait for the stubborn spirit to answer. Stella Urbem - the "star city." A world unknown to earth, yet planted just above it. A team of teen racers uncover what lies beyond their city in the sky, knowing the low chance of survival. Wrote this way back in high school but the story still stays with me to this day so I'm refining it a little and finishing it as a New Year's resolution :) Most of the characters are based off of people I went to school with.
